EPA Giving $12 Million More To Fight Lake Erie Algae

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has announced an additional $12 million to battle harmful algal blooms in Lake Erie. Toledo News Now reports that the EPA will send the additional money to state and local agencies in Ohio, Indiana and Michigan. The extra funds will go towards monitoring drinking water and tracking pollutants in the Lake Erie watershed.
