Not sure what your lunchtime plans are...but 2 of the 3 smokestacks of the former Toledo Edison Steam Plant are scheduled for implosion today at 12:30.  The city of Toledo public relations department released this letter of information for those who might be interested in watching the demolition:

The general public wishing to view the implosions are encouraged to do so from Edison Park which is on Front Street. A media/VIP area will be set up in Tribute Park, which is also on Front Street. Only credentialed media and those invited by the Mayor's office will be allowed in that area, they must arrive by noon to be allowed access.

The National Museum of the Great Lakes will be closed on Wednesday and will resume operation on Tuesday.

Boaters who dock their vessels at the Skyway Marina are encouraged to move their boats before 11 a.m. on Wednesday. Water traffic will be prohibited from entering the area from the Craig Bridge to the Martin Luther King Bridge from 10:30 a.m. until the all clear – which is anticipated after 1:00 p.m
