At his daily COVID-19 briefing Governor Mike DeWine released more details on what he's calling his Responsible Restart Ohio plan. DeWine authorized a return to work for some Ohioans, but delayed reopening retail stores to May 12 saying he wanted to strike a balance between reviving Ohio’s cratered economy while still offering protection to Ohioans.

General offices, distribution centers, manufacturers and construction companies can open a week from today on May 4. Retail stores, consumer and service businesses will be permitted to open on Tuesday May 12. Elective medical procedures and surgeries can proceed on Friday if medically justified and do not require overnight stays.
