Meghan Markle has been open about how proud she is of her “heritage on both sides” of her family as a biracial woman. In a resurfaced video from 2012, the then-”Suits” star gets candid about her experience with racism for charity Erase The Hate’s“I Won’t Stand For” campaign.

In the video, Meghan wears a shirt with the words “I Won’t Stand For Racism” as she remembers hearing someone call her mom Doria Ragland the N-word.While she’s felt like a “fly on the wall” as a biracial woman, Meghan says racial slurs and “offensive jokes” still hit her “in a really strong way.”
