Plans For Robotic Car Center Unveiled

(Columbus, OH)    Ohio could become a national leader in robotic vehicle technology.

Governor John Kasich signed an order Thursday creating DriveOhio, a statewide center for autonomous vehicle and smart road research.

The governor's plan would bring the state's transportation, public safety, insurance and other departments together to invest, develop and promote new automotive technology. An advisory committee involving experts from the auto industry will be appointed at a later date.
