Suspect Arrested For Threats To Washington Local Schools

TOLEDO, Ohio - Police have arrested a 14-year-old Whitmer student for making online threats against schools in the Washington Local district.

The district cancelled classes Friday at Whitmer High School, Washington Junior High School and Jefferson Junior High because of the threats. Police say the threats were made over Snapchat, and read in part: “I want at these kids at WHS to know who I am all this talk about shooting and no one is about doing it but I am watch out Whitmer tomorrow gonna be a movie.”

After a joint investigation with the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, the 14-year-old Whitmer student was taken into custody. She is now charged with making terrorist threats, a 3rd degree felony.
