Former Parks Commissioner Sentenced On Theft In Office Charge

TOLEDO, Ohio - The former head of the city's Division of Parks, Recreation and Forestry has been sentenced for a charge of felony theft in office.

WTOL 11 reports Lisa Ward was sentenced Tuesday with 90 days of work release and a restitution amount of $2,000.

Ward was the commissioner of the Division of Parks, Recreation and Forestry during the Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson administration. She was accused of stealing between $1,000 and $7,500 in June of 2017. She plead guilty to a charge of theft while in office last month.
