Benjamin Keough, Lisa Marie Presley's Son, Elvis' Grandson, Dead At 27

Musician Benjamin Keough, son of Lisa Marie Presley and grandson of Elvis Presley, has passed away at the age of 27. According to a report from TMZ, he died by suicide.

Benjamin signed a $5 million record deal as a teenager, though there is no word on if he ever put out any musi.

A rep for his mother told People magazine how she is doing following the loss of the son she shared with ex-husband Danny Keough. The rep said, "She is completely heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life."

That love was clear to followers of Lisa Marie's Instagram, where she would occasionally post about her family. Ben can be seen throughout it.

In 2012, Ben and his siblings appeared in one of his mom's music videos. It was for her rendition of Elvis' 1954 hit "I Love You Because." In fact, Keough was often told how much he resembled his grandfather. Lisa Marie once told CMT, "He was at the Opry and was the quiet storm behind the stage! Everybody turned around and looked when he was over there. Everybody was grabbing him for a photo because it is just uncanny. Sometimes I am overwhelmed when I look at him."

She and Ben even got matching tattoos on Mother's Day in 2009 - a Celtic eternity knot that represents "eternal love and connection."
