Winter Storm Landon To Impact Northwest Ohio Wednesday With Heavy Snowfall

Northwest Ohio is in the path of a major winter storm which could dump as much as 22 inches of snow on the area. A winter storm watch has been issued by the National Weather Service for Wednesday morning through Friday morning in Lucas, Wood, Ottawa, Sandusky, Hancock and Seneca counties. Williams and Fulton counties have a storm warming for 5 a.m. Wednesday through 7 p.m. Thursday, and including Swanton, Wauseon, and Delta.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible. North winds at 15 to 25 MPH will cause blowing and drifting of the snow. Visibility will be significantly reduced. The hazardous conditions will impact the morning and evening commute. Heaviest snow expected Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. Snowfall rates may exceed one inch per hour at times.
