80-year-old Joseph and his wife Eve met at a skating rink in high school. Joseph says “She started chasing me around and she never quit." They’ve now been married for 60 years, but have been apart at the care facility where they live for 215 days due to Covid restrictions.
Joseph had surgery and was in rehabilitation at the facility. Eve was moved in during that time, but they weren’t allowed to see each other until Joseph fully recovered. The couple had only communicated through phone calls and a few window visits.
When they finally got to hug each other again, it was a heartwarming reunion.
