- Matt Lauer and Annette Roque have been married for 19 years
- Annette's dad says she's going to divorce him and both have been spotted without their wedding rings
- Matt and Annette have reportedly been on the rocks for years and have been living apart
Matt Lauer is going to be a single man soon enough, according to his father-in-law. The disgraced former "Today" host has been married to Annette Roque since 1998, but in recent days, both parties have been spotted without their wedding rings.
What's more, according to Annette's dad, she's done. "I have no words for her husband. What he has done is bad. Everybody feels betrayed," Henri Roque, who lives in Amsterdam, says. "She is not going to stay with him and work it out. They are not together trying to work it out."
While Matt and Annette have been married for almost 20 years, it hasn't all been roses. Annette previously filed for divorce in 2006 - citing "cruel and inhumane treatment" - over a rumored affair with then-news reader Natalie Morales. But as the story goes, Lauer was so worried about his image, he reportedly offered her $5-million to remain in the marriage. Either way, she pulled the petition shortly thereafter. The rumor mill adds that husband and wife have been living apart for years.
