Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes are engaged!
The couple shared their happy news on the Tuesday (October 14) episode of their Amy & T.J. podcast, aptly titled "Robach-Holmes," and revealed that they made the upgrade from "girlfriend-boyfriend" to fiancés a few weeks ago.
"We are sharing with all of you that we are engaged and we've been engaged for just about a month now," Robach said, as her new fiancé added, "We wanted to let you all know before anybody else was able to; we've learned that lesson, I guess, in the past about our relationship."
Robach reflected on how they were able to keep the news from getting ahead of their own announcement despite her flashing her engagement ring in "crowds of tens of thousands" of people.
"I was in three massive football stadiums three weekends in a row, wearing my engagement ring very proudly, very excitedly, and kept waiting for somebody to point it out or ask me, 'Hey, what's that?' And it never happened."
However, she acknowledged that people may have been trying not to pry and were being "polite" given the way their relationship was thrust into the spotlight three years ago.
Robach and Holmes were co-anchors on GMA3 when their relationship seemingly turned romantic in November 2022 despite them both being married to other people at the time, Holmes to Marilee Fiebig and Robach to Andrew Shue. They have denied having an affair and claimed they were each separated at the time, Page Six reports. They have denied having an affair, but they were ultimately fired from the show after an investigation. Both former couples divorced in 2023.
Their exes have also found love with each other, dating in the aftermath of the scandal, and even reportedly moved in together earlier this year.
