Sabrina Carpenter is in her Carrie Bradshaw era.
The Man's Best Friend singer channeled Sarah Jessica Parker's iconic Sex and the City character in a new promo video for her upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live. Carpenter is set to make her return to long-running sketch comedy show this weekend, doing double duty as host and musical guest on Saturday (October 18), per Deadline.
"New York is one big apple, and I'm taking my bite — at Saturday Night Live," she said in a voiceover that would fit right in with Carrie's own thoughtful pondering, adding that she "wondered what she'd gotten herself into" while admitting she "won over the cast and crew."
Indeed, several cast members also appeared in the video, including a "strong" encounter with Sarah Sherman and a run-in with her very own Mr. Big, Marcello Hernández.
"Oh, thank god, it's Mr. Big!" Carpenter exclaimed when she came across Hernández in a hallway. As he corrected her with, "Hey, it's actually Marcello, but I'll take it," she drinks the cosmopolitan cocktail that suddenly appeared and hands it over to him before continuing on her way.
Other hilarious moments include when the "Manchild" hitmaker is asked what she's up to and she quips, "In these heels? Probably like 5'4,"" and when she confuses writer Martin Herlihy for a fan and gives him an autograph while he attempts to discuss a pumpkin patch sketch.
