Elton on the River at 5pm Thursday!

If there is a single moment that is most-widely known in the canon of Elton live performances, this may well be it - Elton appearing as Donald Duck during his Central Park on September 13th 1980 in New York. After struggling to get the Bob Mackie costume on backstage, Elton sits down on his piano bench for the first time in the outfit and lets out a laugh as he realizes the padding won’t allow him to stay on the bench or easily work the foot pedals. Ultimately, it didn’t stop him him turning in this memorable rendition of ‘Your Song’.
